William Conrad was looking at the data that had been sent to him via the server that was located in Mauritius where it couldn't be interfered with by the authorities in the US. He noted that they now had all of the data for some of the Midwest and the Ohio River basin. The team that had been through Iowa was working south into Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. The team that had been in the Ohio River basin had gone above and beyond, going into northern Ohio and doing recon there. William was glad that they had. He had forgotten about the two plants up there...

As the leader of the group that called themselves The Dawn Patrol, he was the mastermind behind orchestrating what would end up going down as one of the most disruptive events in the History of the United States. He was a patriot, but he also believed that the US had stuck it's nose in foreign affairs for far too long. He was going to be the one that went down in history books as the man that brought the United States of America to it's knees. He glanced down at the memo that was written by someone at the Emergency Management Agency in the State of Washington. The hack hadn't been overly hard; the ports for remote access were wide open and not credentialed very well. Who uses WEMA as the user name and CampMurray as the password? Once inside, the hackers had downloaded some sixty gigabytes of documents and uploaded them to the dark web. William had stumbled across the study accidentally. The page that listed the purpose of the document said that it was to "Raise awareness of how an attack on the electrical grid could be perpetrated and what could be done to mitigate the risk." Precious little could be done, it appeared. Sure one hit here or one there would be a minor annoyance, but multiple hits across the country at the same time in a coordinated attack? That could bring the country to it's knees for a period of weeks, if not longer. The memo went on to explain the various ways that such an attack could happen and William was planning to use every single last one of them. This Michelle Oldham would be shaking in her boots when he was done.
