Robert Dunlevey finally had a chance to listen to the voice mail that had been left in his voice mail. "Robert, this is Michelle Oldham with the Washington State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management" Michelle Oldham said. "I have a memo that I wrote that might be of interest to you based on the bulletin you sent out late last week. My number is..." She rattled off her phone number; Robert jotted it down. "It's currently one oh four PM Eastern and I'll be in the office until eight pm eastern tonight." Glancing up at the clock in the front of the room, he figured that she would still be in the office. He picked up the phone on his desk and dialed Michelle's number. "This is Michelle..." He heard Michelle's voice over the phone. "Michelle, It's Robert Dunlevey from the Statewide Terrorist Analysis and Crime Center in Columbus Ohio. I'm returning your call and now you've got me curious about this memo..." "Do you have a Fax number? I'd rather fax it than email it. You'll see why..." Michelle said. "Yeah, the fax number is..." He rattled off the number. "Do you want to call me back or have me wait?" He heard her talking to someone in the background. "Abby, can you fax this to this number please?" He heard Michelle say. "Yes, Ma'am." A slightly lighter voice said in the background. "I'll stay on with you." Michelle said. "How did you guys learn about this van?" "Ohio State Highway Patrol had a couple of reports of it being around the power plants in the state. It's also been seen in some of the metropolitan areas, but we don't know why." He tapped his cube neighbor on the shoulder 'can you go get me the fax that's coming in from Washington?' he mouthed. "Then we tracked it using the cameras on the interstates and in other places around the state. Still have no clue what it's up to, but we thought it would be a good idea to alert. It was only supposed to go to the states around us, but apparently it went national." His cube mate walked back over with some papers. 'Thank you.' He skimmed the papers that he had been handed. "Can I put you on hold really quick, Michelle?" "Sure." Michelle said. She figured he was reading the memo now. "Hey Tom!" Robert said loudly. "Can you meet me in the conference room, and call up and have Director Popovich come down please?" That got the attention of most of the people in the main room of the Statewide Terrorism Analysis and Crime Center (STACC). Calling the Director down was something that only happened when something was going on.

Michelle was listening to hold music when it abruptly stopped. "Michelle, I've gathered Tom Upton who is the director of the STACC, and Anthony Popovich who is our Emergency Management Agency Director and we've gathered in a secure conference room. You may speak freely. They've both seen the memo." Michelle blinked and motioned to Abby. 'Go Get Zoe, now...' she wrote on a piece of paper, and spun it so the girl could see it. Abby nodded and took off, walking quickly but not running. When you ran things happened like twisted ankles, doors to faces, just minor things. "Hang on, let me get our director down to my office." Michelle said. "Since you've all now seen the memo, You know why I've gotten in touch with you." Zoe and Abby walked in the door, shutting it behind them. Michelle put the call on speaker. "okay, I have Director Zoe Daniels and my assistant Abigail here with me." "Good Afternoon, Director, This is Ohio EMA Director Anthony Popovich. We might have a larger issue here. Based on this memo that Ms. Oldham wrote a year ago, it looks like it could be the pylons that could be attacked. I've not heard of anything similar anywhere, but it might be worth it to check around your generation stations and see if you've got any similar activity." "After Michelle approached me this morning with both your memo and her memo, I requested that already. We've not seen any activity in the State of Washington, but that doesn't mean that it's not occurring or isn't going to occur. Let's keep in touch on this and we can bring in whoever we need to." "That sounds good to me. Robert can be the point of contact here. I'm wondering if we need to get DHS in Washington involved..." Anthony Popovich said. "Well, we have a theory that may or may not be happening." Zoe said. "Now granted we've all been at this long enough that we can tell if something is going to happen or not..." "Very true," Popovich said. "I've been doing this for eighteen years... Something about this feels... different. I can't place my finger on it, but this is why we drill and we train." "Sixteen years for me" Zoe said. It dawned on Michelle that just with the six people on this call there were probably a hundred years of combined experience. Director Popovich was right, something didn't feel right about this. "Let's keep working it and if we uncover something, then we will go to the folks in Washington." "Sounds good." Popovich said. "I'm going to disseminate this memo to our people, but we're gonna keep it under lock and key. This isn't the kinda thing we want to fall into the wrong hands..."
