William got out of the shower and dried off. He turned on the TV and saw on CNN as a young brunette was lead from the Washington State Emergency Management. He couldn't tell who it was as the video was provided by a helicopter, and even with the zoom lens, they were still too far away to get a good shot. "Here's what we know at this time, 25 year old Abigail ||Find age and last name elsewhere in the book...|| has been arrested for Treason against the State of Washington and treason against the United States. At this time we don't have any information as to what led to this arrest, but we will keep you updated as we learn more." The screen changed to show a substation and then transmission towers. "In energy related news, PG&E in California is saying that they may have to do rolling blackouts to protect the grid as it's been a very warm November and there are still people running their air conditioners, which, coupled with all of the stoves and ovens running could stress the power grid to a breaking point." "Oh, it's going to break in more ways than that," William said picking up his phone and looking at it. He had a message from BlueEyes... He opened it. It stated that they were concerned about a grid down scenario, and that destabilizing the grid could be more catastrophic than they realized. That was where the messages cut off. He calmly walked over to his laptop and typed a few commands. In a few moments the server in Mauritius had been deleted. He still had a local copy on a small portable machine that was a single board computer. It wasn't' much, but he could run it off of solar and still access it. He sent a mass message to the various burner phones that had been registered to the autodialer and texting platform. He typed out his message "All, Server compromised. Move attack day to 28th. Proceed as instructed. We were chosen for this, we are on the right side of history. Godspeed." Attacking over the thanksgiving holiday would cause the most disruption as people often traveled over that weekend and would not be at home.
