I lay there, arms wrapped around one of the loves of my life thinking about how much my life had changed since that day that Mistress rescued me from Proxmia 20. I lost my freedom, my autonomy, my family, and my past; I won a different family, one that is better than the one I started with, a different kind of freedom, the ability to be happy and not have to worry about anything, and the safety of being taken care of until I pass from this life into what ever comes next.
I lost, but I really won in the end.
Tori lay there, her arms wrapped around one of the loves of her life, thinking about how much her life had changed since the day that Mistress had rescued her from Proxmia 20. She had lost her family, her freedom, her autonomy, and her past. In return she had gained a family that loved her and respected her for who she was, a different kind of freedom, the ability to be happy and not have to worry about anything and the safety of being taken care of until she passed from this life into whatever comes next; her past was history and it was something that didn’t come back to haunt her at all.
She had lost, but she really won in the end.
