16 Discussions with the Doc
Thursday afternoon I walked into Dr. Francis' office. I couldn't believe that it had only been two weeks since I had been there, so much had happened in that short amount of time.
"Afternoon, Zoe." Emily said, walking around to sit in the cozy little seating area. She looked me up and down and then smiled at me.
"Good Afternoon, Emily." I said, sitting and feeling the jeans I had worn stretch and expose the area right above my butt crack. That was something that I didn't think I would ever get used to... I was just happy that the baby blue sweater I wore covered the gap that you could probably see the top of my panties.
"How are you doing today?"
"I'm good. You?" I smiled at her.
"I'm good. Anything on your mind that you think we need to discuss?"
"No, other than the issues that I've had at school that you already know about." I said.
"Yep, and I also know about the changes that the district made to the policies regarding GLBT students." She looked at me. "Has anyone figured out that you are Allen?" I cringed at the name.
"No, But I've chosen to tell a classmate." I pulled a bottle of water out of my bag and took a drink. "I would prefer to be able to control who knows and when."
"But in order for that, you have to trust the person you are telling, otherwise it could just spiral out of control and before you know it, half the school will know the secret." Emily said.
"I trust Megan. I think that she had figured it out before I said anything, but she was wise enough to not just go and blab it to the world. I respect that."
"Well, you know that I'm here in case the wheels come off the wagon. So, other than those that you've told the whole story to, has anyone else figured it out?" I shook my head.
"Nope, at least not that I'm aware of." I replied. "I've had several football players accuse me of getting Mr. Jackson fired, even though he did that on his own. Bigoted idiot." Emily raised her eyebrows.
"You have any other repressed feelings that you need or want to get out?"
"No, I think I'm good..." I smiled at Emily.
