Chapter 6

Delaney woke briefly as Veronica got out of bed, she cuddled her teddy bear and fell back asleep...

An hour later Delaney's alarm went off and she opened her eyes to turn it off. She sat up, and waddled down to the coffee maker, stopping by her office on the way to make sure that everything was still on and running like it should have been. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she finally made it to the coffee maker, sitting her teddy bear on the counter next to the coffee maker while she grabbed a mug. There was a note taped on her favorite mug, it read 'Delaney, sippy cups for this week. We both know that little girls can't keep from spilling, and we don't want to have to try to replace your keyboard, do we?' Delaney frowned and grabbed a sippy cup, and made her coffee in it instead of a regular mug. After the coffee was done brewing, Delaney waddled up to her office and took her place in her chair. She swiped her finger across the fingerprint reader and the computer unlocked, displaying everything has it had Saturday night after John had called.

Delaney was still sitting there in her night gown when lunchtime rolled around. Her coffee finally having gone through her enough to make the outer diaper saturated to the point that she needed changed. She got up and went and took a shower, glad to have the two soaking diapers off her body. When she was in the shower, she ran her hands up and down her legs, feeling the pricklyness of them. She took a few minutes to shave and then got out, feeling very feminine. After drying off she went into the bedroom and put on a new dry diaper, which felt heavenly to her soft hairless skin. Going over to the closet she looked to see what she could find to wear. She felt too feminine to wear her overalls today so she started looking at the dresses in the closet. She finally settled on a baby pink short sleeved skater dress that would hit mid thigh. She searched around for a pair of pink and dark gray striped knee socks that she knew that she had that would probably go with the dress, but she wasn't too concerned about everything matching... Veronica would say that she as a child after all. Children very rarely matched, after all. After doing a quick brush of her hair and leaving it down she went back to her office, and sat at the desk, sitting as ladylike as possible. Glancing at the top row of monitors, she went back to working on the code for the project that she was getting paid for. Being a freelance programmer allowed her to have the freedom to do what she wanted to do when she wanted to do it. She glanced at her email and seeing nothing about the project she decided to turn on some music while she worked. As she started to get into the next part of the piece of software that she was writing, her phone rang. It was Veronica calling and given what time it was she was probably on her last break.

"Hi, Mommy." Delaney said, having put the phone on speaker when she answered it.

"Hi, sweetie," Veronica said, "How has your day been?"

"Good, finished up the part of this program that's been giving me issues for a while and have moved on to the next part..." Delaney said, pausing to glance at the right screen which had her reference guide up for the language that she had been programming in. On the left monitor, a notification quickly appeared and then went away. Clicking a few times she saw that there was an email from John. He wanted Alex to fly to the office in Denver and spend a few days there before the conference. "Umm... Apparently, John wants me to fly to Denver on Wednesday..."

"Oh?" Veronica said, she sounded disappointed. "Guess you should pack soon..."

"Yeah," Delaney said replying to the email. "He just sent me my ticket. The flight is at eight thirty, so I need to be there by seven or so... Might be a good idea to uber it."

"I mean you could drive to the airport and park in one of the lots, they are paying for it, right?" Veronica said.

"Yeah," Alex said, "I'll see what he says about them paying for parking or an uber."

"OK, I need to get back to work so I'll see you when I get home. Let me know what he says. I love you." Veronica said.

"OK, I love you too." Delaney said, the phone beeped as Veronica hung up. Delaney rubbed her temples as she replied to John's email. Once the email was sent, Delaney stood and went to the bedroom to pack. It would be easier to do so while she was dressed as Delaney; she wouldn't have to worry about trying to pack something that she was already wearing. After quickly packing her clothing bags for the trip she returned to her office and opened her laptop. She would need to sync it up before the flight, but that was a relatively quick process.

Veronica opened the door and walked in to the kitchen. Delaney was standing at the stove stirring something in a pot; the house smelled of butter. "What the heck are you cooking?" Veronica was enjoying watching her sway side to side as she manipulated whatever was in the pot.

"Well, in the oven are some thin steaks, being broiled, and up here I'm heating up some corn." Delaney said. "The pot behind it has some green beans in it. Therefore for dinner we are having steak, green beans and corn for dinner."

"Sounds good to me," Veronica said, coming over and lifting Delaney's dress to check her diaper. "When did you change last?"

"About an hour ago," Delaney said as the timer built into the stove started beeping. She slid a pair of oven mitts on her hands, and opened the oven, pulling out a cookie sheet with four steaks on it. "Dinner is done, can you grab plates?"

"Yep," Veronica said, turning to the cupboard beside her and pulling out two plates. They were both adult plates, which meant that Veronica wanted to have dinner with adult Delaney. "Here you go, Princess." She smiled.
