Alex and Robert pulled into the pole barn and parked thier vehicles. Without speaking, they opened hte back of the van and pulled out the plaster casts of the tire tracks and shoe prints. They would return to the first fire scene at first light to take a closer look for any details they may have missed. Without speaking they carried the casts into the building and down into the forensics labratory. It was deserted at this hour, and Alex knew that the departments forensic expert would be in around eight am and that she would be calling wondering what to do with the casts that were now sitting on the work table in her office.

“I’ll call you around six?” Delaney said as they climbed the stairs back out to the pole barn.

“Sounds good,” Alex said. “Get some rest.”
