“Units thirty three and thirty five, Williams Park on a suspicious vehicle. Caller believes it’s the vehicle from the abduction run yesterday after noon.” The scanner crackled. “Chopper to channel four.” Alex sat up in his chair and looked at Lilly. She was sitting on the couch, proudly wearing the maids dress, now with a pink collar and leash; she looked relaxed. She raised an eyebrow as Alex pulled out his phone and dialed the dispatch center.
“Metro PD, Tech 76” came the dispatcher’s voice.
“It’s Thompson,” Alex said. “Give me details on the run that thirty three three thirty five were just dispatched on...”
“Looks like a caller spotted the vehicle outside of Williams Park on his way home from work, no other details or contact info given, sir.”
“Chopper to dispatch on four.”
“Sir, can you do a flyover of Williams Park and check for heat signatures?”
“Sure can,” The observer in the chopper said over the air. “We’re on the north end of the city, probably overhead in 4 minutes.”
“Copy, time is twenty forty two.”
“Put me on the card as responding.” Alex said. Lilly jumped up and ran up to their bedroom. “Badge three three two nine.”
“Copy sir,” The dispatcher said, “I have you in, mark in when you arrive on scene.”
