3 Metro PD Headquaters 4 23 PM

//Metro PD HQ: 4:23 PM//

Thompson walked through the door labeled Detective Bureau. He looked at Delaney as he entered. “Anything on the kids yet?”

“Not a thing, Sarge.” Delaney said, sounding defeated. “I’ve got calls into the IRS and the State Department of Taxation to see if they can help us with the kids. They have to be listed on the tax returns.”

“Good idea.” Thompson said, sitting in a chair next to Delaney’s desk. “Someone has to have a record of these kids. Have you checked for any for any previous runs to that address?”

“Yeah,” Delaney tapped at the keyboard. “We’ve been out there precicely zero times...”

“Have you polled the BMV?” Thompson asked, perhaps the BMV had one or both of the kids listed as having some form of ID.

“Yeah...” Delaney said. “Nothing there; either the kids are younger than fifteen or they don’t have thier temps. It’s too late to reach out to the school district...” Delaney sounded defeated.
