Alex walked back into the detective bureau, Delaney was sitting there talking to the girls.

“Judge Warren granted me custody until we finish our investigation.” Alex said. Heather hopped up and hugged him. She had been hugging Samantha. Alex could tell that she was still scared.

“Are you going to protect us?” The grey eyed, blond haired girl asked.

“Yes.” Alex said. “No one is going to get you or your sister. I need to run up to communications really quick. Alex turned and walked back out the door that he had come in.
