Alex had just sat down when his phone rang. After seeing that the caller was Sienna, he answered it. “Thompson...”

“Sarge, I just found something that I think you should know about...”

“Ok...” Alex said, dropping the footrest on his recliner. “Do I need to come in for this?”

“I don’t think so,” Sienna said, “I pulled prints from the stuff that Wells brought in this morning from the motel... Fed them into AFIS, Lets just say we’re chasing someone we didn’t expect to be chasing...”

“Ok...” Alex said, knowing how Sienna liked to wind up before a big reveal...

“We are chasing Robert Carlos Turner and his wife Suzanne Elizabeth Turner; the internationally wanted human traffickers...” Sienna said.

“What?!?” Alex shouted. Lilly, Samantha and Heather looked at him. “We’re chasing WHO?”

“Robert and Suzanne Turner...” Sienna said again. Alex blinked, then motioned to Lilly for her phone. After she handed it to him, he dialed the radio room with Sienna in his other ear.

“Metro PD, Tech 20,” came a comm tech’s voice.

“It’s Thompson, put me through to the Radio Room Sargent...”

“Stand by, Sir.” The tech said.

“You know, I could have just transfered us...” Sienna said, giggling.

“Shush...” Alex said.

“Sargent Schafer” Came Schafer’s voice.

“Debbie,” Alex said. “I need you to air to CIU that they are following Robert and Suzanne Turner...” Alex said. There were weekly bulletins that the department received from the FBI and in one of the recent ones, the Turners were toward the top of the wanted list for crimes against humanity...

“Are we sure that they are those Turners?” Debbie asked.

“Yeah,” Alex said. “I have Sienna in my other ear, she just ran the prints from the motel room this morning.”

“Alright, I’ll air it.” Debbie said. “You want CIU to keep following?”

“Yes,” Alex said. “Have them get a GPS tracker on the car as well; just in case the suspects decide to try to give them the slip.”

“Copy. I’ll keep you updated...” Debbie said. “I’m also going to have CIU rotate out so that they don’t get made...”

“Sounds good; I’m going to see about getting warrants issued locally.” Alex said.

“I just sent you some stuff, Sarge.” Sienna said.

“Ok, Sienna,” Alex said. “Debbie, can you send a message out to the detective units, I want everyone to respond on Dtect Tac please?”

“Yep,” Debbie said. “I’ll get it out and I’ll also be monitoring both CIU three and Dtect Tac as well.”

“Thank you.” Alex said.

“I’ll call you if I find anything else, Sarge.” Sienna said. There was a beep as the call disconnected. A second beep followed as Debbie’s call disconnected. The walkie in the charger in the kitchen made a high pitched tone. “All Detective units to Dtect Tac per S30, All Detective units to Dtect Tac Per S30. Time is fourteen fifty two.” Alex turned the channel to Dtect Tac as the radio made the tone again. “All CIU units to CIU three per S50, All CIU units to CIU three, per S50, Time is fourteen fifty three.”

“D1 on Tac” came a voice from the radio.

“D2” a different voice.

“D4” came Wells voice.

“D3” Delaney’s voice. There were eight more detectives, but they must have had their radios off...

“Ok,” Alex said holding the radio to his mouth. “So everyone knows, Forensics got a hit on the fingerprints from the motel this morning. They belong to none other than the Turners that Interpol and the FBI have been looking for...”

“Let’s take them down...” Came Delaney’s voice...

“Not yet,” Alex said. “We do that and we have to turn them over. We need some local charge that will let us hold them.”

“How about suspicion of kidnapping, intent to traffic, conspiracy to commit murder, arson, arson, arson, vandalism, and being stupid?” Delaney’s voice came out of the speaker.

“As an aside, CIU is back here...” Came Sargent Erickson’s voice. “And I don’t think that being stupid would stick in a court, I like the idea...”

“Ok, I’m going to go see if we can get warrants to hold them on locally...” Alex said. Everyone go to CIU three and monitor. We might be rolling soon...”

“Copy Sarge.”
