Everyone was sitting around the dinner table, one of the few times in recent memory that Alex and Lilly had used the table to actually eat at. “Judge Warren signed the warrants, I just want to have more evidence when we swoop in to make the arrest...” Alex said, looking at Lilly. “I want there to be no chance that she’s going to get let off when she’s done this to who knows how many people...”

“I want to help...” Samantha said. Alex and Lilly looked at each other.

“I’m not sure I’m comfortable with that...” Alex said, taking a bite of his dinner. “She almost had both of you...”

“That’s why I want to help take her down...” Samantha said, “I don’t want her to be able to do this to anyone else either... Besides, Law enforcement has always interested me, and I think I want to start looking into a career in criminal Justice...”

“If your looking to help people, you could always go into social work or medicine.” Lilly said. She was a floor nurse at the hospital in town after all.

“I want to catch the people that are intent on harming others, specifically children or other defenseless people.” Samantha said.

“Let me talk it over with the rest of the team and see what they think about you helping...” I get that you want to take her down, but I worry about your safety...” Alex wasn’t too fond of this idea, but he did understand her logic.

“Ok...” Samantha said, sounding disappointed.
