Hannah stood and stretched. She had just finished her book as the iPad had told her that the battery was close to dead so she plugged it in and realized that something was very wrong. She felt her shorts clinging to her body, damp like she had jumped in the pool with them on. Emily was the first one to see her daughter's condition. Hannah quickly turned and ran for her room, tears welling up in her eyes. Once in her room, she locked the door and slumped, back against it, crying into her folded arms...

Meanwhile, downstairs, Emily 'accidentally' knocked her glass of water on the couch in the same space that Hannah had been sitting in, creating a cover for the wet spot on the cushion. "Crap..." Emily said, Lexie looked up from her place on the floor, where she had been watching the movie, not having noticed any movement as her sister had fled the room. "Lexie, can you go get me a couple of towels so I can clean this up really quick." Lexie ran into the kitchen, grabbed the dry dishtowel that hung on the handle for the oven and ran back out to her mother. Emily quickly cleaned the couch, knowing that she really needed to go check on her daughter.

Upstairs, Hannah was making a note in the drink diary, stating that she had just wet herself. She closed the notebook and tossed it across the room, not cringing as it hit the cup of pens and pencils that sat on her small desk, knocking them to the floor. A few of her stuffed animals went with it, as well as one of her folders that contained assignments from the previous year in school. By the time that gravity had stopped removing stuff from her desk on her behalf she had shed the wet clothes and opened the dresser, staring at the goodnights. Sighing she pulled one out and looked at it. It looked kind of like a pair of panties that she would normally wear. There was a knock on the door, and Hannah heard her mother's voice.

"Han," Emily said. "Let me in." Emily quickly slipped the goodnight on and then slipped her robe on over top of it. She walked over and opened the door. It was obvious that the younger girl had been crying. "Are you ok?"

"No," Hannah practically spat. "I just sat on the couch in front of my younger sister and her friend and wet my self. Why is this happening?" Hannah collapsed on the bed and started crying again. Emily could see the purple goodnight poking out from underneath the pink robe. "I just want it to stop."

"I know." Emily said. "Why don't you get dressed for bed?"

"But Mom," Hannah practically whined. "It's only eight thirty..."

"I just said get ready for bed, not that you had to go to bed," Emily said, a giggle escaping her mouth as she crossed to the dresser and opened a drawer and pulled out a satin lavender night gown. She tossed it over next to Hannah who looked at it and smiled. Emily finally noticed the stuff that had gotten knocked off the desk. "I'll go so you can get ready for bed, and clean that mess up..."

"Thanks mom," Hannah said, sitting up on the bed. Hannah watched as her mom closed the door to her room, and then she stood looking in the mirror on the back of the door as she removed her robe. The goodnight was barely thicker than her normal underwear, She wondered if she would be able to hide one under her day clothes. She stashed the thought and picked up the lavender night gown up off the bed and slipped it over her head. The night gown slipped down to her knees and when she looked at the mirror she couldn't tell that she was wearing the goodnight. She smiled at her self in the mirror and then left her room and headed for the family room. When she got there, her mom had flipped the cushions over so that the dry side was up. Hannah practically bounced onto the couch and picked up the iPad. It had charged about a quarter of the way in the time that it had taken Hannah to get ready for bed. Since she had finished the Hunger Games, she went to the kindle store and looked to see how much the second book in the series was. After getting the price, Hannah went to go find her mom. She found her in the kitchen getting ready to run the dishwasher. Emily turned when she heard the footfalls of her daughter.

"What's up?" Emily asked, closing the dishwasher and turning the knob to start it.

"I finished The Hunger Games, and was wondering if I could get Catching Fire. It's the second book in the series." Hannah said.

"How much is it?" Emily asked.

"It's six dollars," Hannah said, proud of her self for looking up the price before she approached her mother.

"Bring me the iPad." Emily said. One click buying wasn't turned on and she had to input her password to actually make the purchase.

"I would have brought it with me, but it's charging." Hannah said, a smile crossing her face.

"Ok, I'll come out in a minute." Emily said. "Are you trying to set a speed record on reading?"

"Nope," Hannah giggled."The books are that engaging. I just get lost in them."

"I know. I would rather you spend time getting lost in books than doing something that could be worse for you" Emily said, smiling at her daughter. "I do want you in bed by nine thirty tonight, so try not to get too involved in your book." Emily picked up the iPad and purchased the book for her daughter.

"Thanks Mom." Hannah said, plopping down on the couch and starting to read the book. She quickly passed the time until bed time without realizing it.

"Hannah, it's bed time." Emily said.

Hannah glanced at the clock that hung above the fireplace and then smiled at her mother. "Oops. Guess I got caught up in my book..." Hannah sat the iPad down and headed off to go to the bathroom before going to bed. Emily watched her go, hoping that tonight would be a dry night for her daughter. Time would tell if the sheets needed to be washed again the next morning...
